Our mission is to save electricity and water, and provide reliable and cost-effective agricultural irrigation control system which helps farmers maximize well-being and contribute to the world.
Innovative Elements/Components of the Project:
The current irrigation systems are not fully automated. They use timers to turn on or off, partially preventing excess use of water and electricity. Our proposed model automatically turns on when the soil moisture level is below the given threshold and vice-versa. It also consists of an Android app, GSM, and Wi-Fi. Using the Android application, we can monitor the current status of the drip irrigation system on our smartphones or set threshold levels for specific crops. With the GSM module, we can receive the current irrigation system status via SMS.
